Q: Where did you attend college?
A: BSN from San Diego State University; ADN from Grossmont College; LVN from Cerro Coso College

What year did you join MBCA? 
A: 2013 (sub); 2019 (Lead Nurse)

What do you love about MBCA? 
A: I love that MBCA feels like "home". The students are known and loved. The staff is caring and supportive, and like family. 

What is your all-time favorite sports team? 
A: San Diego State University (football), Las Vegas Knights (hockey), and Atlanta Braves (baseball)

What is your favorite Bible verse, and why? 
A: Psalm 23:1-6 - This verse is usually reserved for funerals. But, every time I hear it, regardless of my grief and sadness, I am overcome with peace. 

What are three fun facts about yourself?
A: I did not get my driver's license until I was 18 years old and had graduated from high school. Sine then, I have had licenses in nine states (NY, FL, AL - twice, LA, NC, TN, CA, and GA).

I am the oldest of six children. I am one of 26 cousins. There are 11 grandchildren in my family - 9 boys and 2 girls (my daughters). 

I never wanted to be a nurse. My dad wanted me to be a nurse in the U.S. Navy. I had to wait until it was my own idea - he always laughed and teased me about that. Now I can't imagine what else I would do - I love my job! 

My team and I still hold our high school's record for our time in the 200-yard Medley. I swam Butterfly, and this was back in...um...1988. 

What is your favorite book? 
A: The Winds of War by Herman Wouk.
