Q: Where did you attend college?
A: PhD in Linguistics from the University of Georgia; M.A. in Religion from the University of Georgia; M.Ed. in English Education from the University of Georgia; M.Div. in Biblical Languages from Luther Rice College and Seminary; M.A. in Classical Languages and Literatures from the University of Kentucky; B.A. (dual major) in German and Classical Languages from Berea College
What year did you join MBCA?
A: 2024
What do you love about MBCA?
A: I love to teach, and I especially love to teach languages. That I have the opportunity to share my knowledge in a Christian setting adds to my joy.
What is your all-time favorite sports team?
A: I can't say I have one.
What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?
A: Deuteronomy 6:4 - This verse is the preamble to the greatest commandment (to love God).
What are three fun facts about yourself?
A: I am a polyglot (know and can use several languages).
I collect books.
I am an autodidact (self-taught).
What is your favorite book?
A: Besides the Bible, it is difficult to say. I would say that I have favorite books, rather than one particular favorite. Nevertheless, the following are amongst my favorites: Paradise Lost (John Milton); The Iliad (Homer); The Dialogues of Plato, especially the Symposium; the works of Shakespeare, especially Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice, and A Midsummer Night's Dream; The Aeneid (Virgil); 1984 (George Orwell); and finally, J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion.
