They drive us, impact how we act and interact, and guide our decisions.

  • What has such an important impact on our organization?
Glad you asked! That describes the concept of Core Values.  Core Values are deeply ingrained principles – cultural cornerstones, inherent, never compromised for convenience, personal impact, or monetary gain.

Here at MBCA, we have clear mission and vision statements, but until recently, we hadn’t specifically defined or articulated our core values. After many months of work and collaboration with all constituencies, including staff members and families, to identify these important characteristics, we have formalized our MBCA Core Values statements. These are the fundamental principles or beliefs that guide our organization’s behavior. I’d love to hear how your experience at MBCA parallels the values below – tell us your stories and let’s talk further about these all-important concepts.

We have chosen six keywords that identify our MBCA Core Values. You may notice that the first letter of each spells an acronym that’s not only easy to remember, it reflects the ethos of our community: FIRE PiT.  Like a campfire where friends gather around to share experiences together, we gather around these core values with a commonality of purpose. Here is our final list that reflects who we really are at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy.
